Online platform Keeper Memorials has relaunched its QR code plaque offering, which is now branded as KeeperQR. Once a QR code is placed on a grave marker, urn, bench, photo frame or other monument, visitors can scan it using their phone or tablet for instant access to the deceased’s legacy.
KeeperQRs are printed using durable, high-quality materials capable of withstanding all weather conditions. Custom-branded enterprise KeeperQRs are available for funeral home and cemetery partners to expand their client experience.
All KeeperQRs are paired with the powerful personalization features of a Keeper Memorials page, where loved ones can upload images, videos, tributes, biographies, milestones and more to tell the deceased’s story. KeeperQRs can lead to public or private memorial pages branded by the cemetery or funeral home partner, and they automatically sync with updates.
In other news, Keeper Memorials leveraged its Living Memorial profiles to expand Veterans Legacy Memorial (VLM), which empowers military veterans to share their stories and preserve their legacies for future generations. This feature, called “Your Story, Your Legacy,” is powered by Keeper’s online memorial platform and was developed through a collaboration between the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Cemetery Administration, Keeper Memorials, GovCIO and dbITpro.
“Your Story, Your Legacy” provides veterans with a personal space to share their life stories. Any uploaded content will be securely kept by the VA until it approves a request for a burial or memorial benefit. After approval, the veteran’s content will then be made public on a VLM memorial web page.
Launched in 2019 with a mission to safeguard and share veteran legacies, VLM currently commemorates nearly 10 million veterans through dedicated online memorial pages. VLM uses Keeper Memorials’ digital memorialization platform to enable loved ones to share photos, tributes, biographies, directions to final resting places and more. The service offers a meaningful way to celebrate and preserve the legacy of veterans. mykeeper.com; vlm.cem.va.gov
