Homesteaders Life Company recently held its sales recognition ceremony in Las Vegas. The annual event – an almost 30-year-old tradition – celebrates the exceptional service of its team of account executives. Senior account executive Paul Reukauf (East Region) was named Account Executive of the Year. The award recognizes the account executive who best exhibits the qualities required to provide superior support to funeral home customers. Reukauf also received the Territory Development and Sales Achievement awards and was named East Region Account Executive of the Year.

In other news, Homesteaders has released the seventh edition of “Preneed Motivators,” which provides information about the demographics, behavior and experiences of people who arrange and fund advance funeral plans. In addition to providing results from a biennial survey of policy owners who prearranged and funded funerals with Homesteaders, this edition includes meaningful insights and additional resources on how to act on the data in order to help funeral professionals strengthen how they market to, and communicate with, preneed and at-need families. “Preneed Motivators” is available as a free download at homesteaderslife.com.
Lastly, Steve Pick, Homesteaders executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer, announced the appointment of Ryan Goins as senior vice president of finance and accounting. “We’re excited to have Ryan join our team,” said Pick. “He brings an impressive background of progressive financial leadership within the life insurance sector, positioning him to help drive Homesteaders’ continued growth and the successful execution of our strategy.” Goins will play a crucial role in helping shape Homesteaders’ financial direction and overall strategic vision, ensuring the financial well-being of the organization.
Goins has nearly 25 years of experience in finance, accounting and capital management, with two decades spent in the insurance industry. He is a certified public accountant (inactive), a LOMA Financial Services Institute fellow and holds a finance degree from Iowa State University’s Ivy College of Business.
