John Cooper recently ­celebrated 15 years with Thacker Caskets. He joined the company in 2007, already having 15 years of industry experience, including a rich and varied background in metal casket manufacturing, marketing and distribution with Astral Industries. Cooper started as a sales representative for Thacker Caskets Manufacturing, calling on the industry’s independent casket distributors. In November 2007, the Casket and Funeral Supply Association honored Cooper by electing him to its board of directors, on which he served for three years.

In 2014, he began transitioning to sales for Thacker Caskets Inc., splitting time between the two companies. Cooper quickly became an instrumental asset to the sales team because of his abundant industry knowledge and dynamic approach to sales. In 2017, he was promoted to sales director, overseeing sales consultants in his territory and offering guidance and expertise.

Through the years, Cooper has earned the respect and admiration of his funeral home customers, as well as fellow sales team members and everyone at Thacker Caskets.
