Funeral Directors Life has appointed Steve Vermilya as market center manager for the state of Georgia. Vermilya has more than 35 years of experience in the funeral profession as a funeral director, embalmer, preplanning agent and, most recently, as the active sales manager in Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina for FDL. Vermilya holds a degree in sociology and psychology from the University of Northern Iowa, and he furthered his funeral service education at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service.

In other news, FDL has again been certified as a “Great Place to Work,” earning recertification for July 2021-July 2022. “Great Place to Work” is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience and leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue and increased innovation.
