NGL Insurance Company recently appointed Cameron Black as its chief preneed distribution officer, reporting directly to Joe Celentano, president and CEO.

Since joining NGL in January 2019, Black has played a key role in strengthening partner relationships and advancing the company’s position in the preneed market. With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, he brings a partner-centric approach to expanding market presence and to delivering the insight, leadership and resources that drive sustainable growth and long-term success for funeral professionals and the families they serve.

Said Black about his new opportunity: “I am honored to step into this role at a time when the preneed profession continues to evolve and expand its impact. Supporting our partners through strong relationships, thoughtful strategies and dependable solutions is central to our mission.”

In other news, with the approval of the NGL Board of Directors, policyholders and the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance, NGL has converted to a mutual holding company. The regulatory and policyholder approval converts the organization to a stock insurer and subsidiary of the mutual holding company.

This restructuring enhances the company’s ability to grow, innovate and serve customers while preserving the core values that come with being a mutual insurance company. Policyholders will maintain ownership and control of the insurance holding company while providing NGL greater financial flexibility.

Along with the conversion, the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance also approved the organization’s name change to NGL Insurance Company.
