What to Expect
On Monday and Tuesday, October 27–28, from 12:30–2 p.m., contestants will take part in a real-time restorative challenge on the Expo Hall floor, using professional-grade materials and equipment provided by Post Mortem Restorative Cosmetics. Each competitor will have one-and-a-half hours per day (three hours total) to demonstrate their expertise in front of a live audience.
A panel of internationally recognized judges - Glyn Tallon, Vernie Fountain and Karl Wenzel - will evaluate each case and share insights with the audience. A professional video crew will also capture the competition for a behind-the-scenes documentary.
This groundbreaking event celebrates one of the most vital aspects of funeral service: restoring dignity and peace for grieving families. By spotlighting the artistry and skill of restorative work, the showcase underscores NFDA’s commitment to innovation and excellence in embalming and restorative care.
This event is included with your Convention registration — no separate ticket required. Be sure to mark your Convention schedule and cheer on the competitors as they bring restorative art to the Expo Hall stage.
