As NFDA announced last week (see article), all pending stays of the Corporate Transparency Act have been lifted. As the original deadline has passed, the FinCEN (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) has announced that the new filing deadline for most businesses is March 21, 2025. For businesses formed after February 18, 2025, the deadline is 30 days from the date of formation, and for any businesses that received a later filing date due to disaster relief, the later deadline remains.
As mentioned previously, almost all businesses in the US will need to file their business information. You can go here for more information and to file: BOIEFiling.FinCEN.gov.
There are challenges and legislation pending, but as of the writing of this update, I doubt that federal courts will stay the filing deadlines any further.
