With the rising number of families choosing cremation, it’s more important than ever to ensure that your skills and knowledge remain at the forefront of the profession. NFDA offers the foremost Cremation Certification Program for funeral professionals – designed to provide you with the expertise, confidence, and credentials needed to excel in serving families who prefer cremation.
Flexible Certification Options
The NFDA Cremation Certification Program offers three convenient formats to fit your busy schedule:
- Online Certification Course: Access robust, interactive course modules at any time and earn your certification on your own schedule. The content, developed and taught by respected experts like NFDA Vice President of Cremation Services Mike Nicodemus, ensures you receive top-tier training.
- Virtual Certification Course: Enjoy live, expert-led training from the comfort of your home or office during two half-day sessions. Engage in real-time Q&A to deepen your understanding.
- In-person Certification Course: Network face-to-face with colleagues and learn directly from experts in a dynamic seminar setting.
Upon completion of any format and passing the exam, participants can earn either the CCSP (Certified Cremation Services Provider) designation (for funeral directors/staff using third-party crematories) or the CCO (Certified Crematory Operator) designation (for crematory owners/operators).
