The preliminary rounds of competition have been hotter than a crematory in our third annual Funeral Face-Off trivia contest. We’re down to the final three teams and gearing up for our live Wild Card Round in which an unknown fourth team will advance to the final rounds of competition … and it could be you! 

Whether your team fell short in the preliminary rounds or you didn’t have a chance to sign up for the initial competition, gather three colleagues and head to The Lounge by NFDA (located in the Expo Hall) at 1:15 p.m. on Monday, October 21 to register for the Wild Card Round and find a seat.

Starting at 2 p.m., your team will answer live pub-trivia-style questions provided by American Board of Funeral Service Education faculty. The questions will cover content taught to current mortuary science students, as well as funeral pop culture sprinkled in for fun.  

The winning team in the Wild Card Round will face off against the three teams that have already qualified. The semifinal and final rounds of the Funeral Face Off will take place live in the Lounge by NFDA at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22.

The three teams that have already qualified include: 
•    Return Homies – Katey Houston, Brie Smith, Ivy Ostenburg
•    Vince Gill’s Backup Singers – Regan Mooreland, Henry Johnston, Larry Goodwin
•    Laveau’s Trocars – Adelle Davis, Ashley Steele, Ashley Johnson

Will Return Homies make this a three-peat? Or will we see a new champ take first place?
