The International Air Transportation Association (IATA) is offering a live virtual course, CompassionateTransportation. This course offers a comprehensive guide to airline acceptance and transport of human remains. You will learn the fundamental operational guidelines for funeral directors, airlines and freight forwarders, focusing on the preparation, shipment and handling of this sensitive cargo. 

NFDA is a national member of Fédération Internationale des Associations de Thanathologues – International Federation of Thanatologists Associations (FIAT-IFTA), which makes you eligible for a 50% discount on the course. 

The course covers regulatory and documentation requirements, best practices for packaging and labelling, coordination among involved parties and special considerations for international transport.
