For the third year in a row, NFDA’s flagship publication, The Director magazine, has received an award from Trade Association and Business Press International (TABPI), recognizing excellence in business journalism in 2022. The magazine received an Honorable Mention in the Best Single Issue category for the September 2022 issue, which featured the results of NFDA Consumer Awareness and Preferences Study. The award honors the top 25 single best issues of the year.
“This year’s entries once again show how b2b publications remain a critical information source for countless niche audiences worldwide,” said Paul J. Heney TABPI President. “Business-to-business journalism continues to do the hard work, from digging deep into specific technology areas, to engaging convincingly in editorial and opinion pieces, to interviewing experts for insightful answers to reader problems.”
“I’m very proud that The Director has been recognized three years in a row,” said Edward J. Defort, NFDA Publications editorial director. “It recognizes the consistent excellence in our publications. I congratulate my team – Dawn Behr, our managing editor, and Brooke Krishok, our art director – on this accomplishment as we proudly serve the mission of NFDA.”
The Tabbie Awards have a distinctive global reach, with local, regional, national and international publications in all countries encouraged to participate. This 20th-year editorial and design competition was open to English-language b2b publications worldwide as well as online-only brands.
The Tabbie award is the latest recognition for The Director. Earlier this year, the publication won two awards in the annual Awards for Publication Excellence competition (APEX).
