NFDA’s flagship publication, The Director magazine, claimed two awards in the 2021 Tabbie Awards, an annual international competition that recognizes excellence in business-to-business journalism and design.
The Director received:
- SILVER AWARD for Best Front Cover/Photography, June 2020
- HONORABLE MENTION for Best Single Issue, July 2020
Presented by Trade Association Business Publications International (TABPI), the Tabbie Awards is an editorial and design competition featuring nominations from across the globe.
“This year’s entries highlighted how important b2b journalism is to the multitude of industries it serves,” said Paul Heney, TABPI president. “Judges raved about how publishers pushed forward, even in the midst of a global pandemic."
“The work submitted for the Tabbies each year continues to show the astonishing print and online journalism that continues to happen in this space. Around the world, editors and designers are doing quality work [that is] meaningful to the industries they serve.”
“I congratulate my team – Dawn Behr, our managing editor, and Brooke Krishok, our art director – on this accomplishment as we proudly serve the mission of NFDA,” said Edward J. Defort, editorial director and publisher. “Under normal circumstances, this would be a proud achievement. But considering all we were going through last year, in my mind, it makes this achievement that much more remarkable.”
