Under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Congress authorized FEMA to provide up to $9,000 in financial assistance to individuals who incurred COVID-19-related funeral expenses after January 20, 2020.
Through this assistance, our government is recognizing the great loss our country has suffered because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is your chance to be a leader in your community!
While we recognize that funeral directors are not responsible for administering this assistance, helping to educate the families you serve and your community about its availability will go a long way in helping them honor the lives of their loved ones. Families and your community will see you as a key resource they can turn to in times of need.
Hear from two funeral directors, Randy Anderson and Tom Sproles, who are already taking steps to educate their families about the FEMA COVID-19 Funeral Assistance, and learn about an exclusive toolkit NFDA has developed to help members reach out their community.
Registration is limited to 1,000 people!
Members: be sure you are logged into the NFDA website to view and register for this free webinar.
If you are unable to attend, a recording will be made available to members by April 9 on the FEMA Funeral Assistance page in NFDA’s COVID-19 Information Hub.
