Every year the Board of Directors of The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards appoints members of the NBE Arts and NBE Sciences Committees to serve a one-year, voluntary appointment. Committee members are dually-licensed practitioners from across the country who are responsible for maintaining the National Board Exam. It is important that the committee composition includes a wide range of demographics, including newly-licensed professionals, so anyone who meets the requirements is encouraged to apply.
These subject-matter experts provide general oversight of the content of the licensing exam. This includes test question development, with an ongoing mission to maintain and review test questions at various stages of the exam development process. These meetings will take place virtually throughout the year, with an in-person opportunity dependent on participation and the ability to travel. Previous experience in exam development is not required as training is provided.
The deadline to apply for the 2021-2022 NBE Committee is April 8, 2021.
