Children’s Burial Assistance Inc. (CBA) announced immediate availability of COVID-19 burial plots and urns across the United States.
CBA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit developed in 2007 in Atlanta, Georgia, to provide donated burial plots or urns across the United States for deceased children aged 1 to 26. The plots and urns are made available by generous donations of individuals throughout the country.
In an effort to address the burial needs of families that have lost loved ones during the pandemic, the organization is launching a special program – CBA COVID-19 Burial Project – for deceased adults aged 27+.
Burial plot inventory is subject to change and is currently available in the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
Urns are shipped across the United States and can be engraved locally at the recipient’s discretion.
COVID-19 Burial Plots and Urns Requirements: Ages 1 to 26 are automatically eligible for a burial plot or urn. Those aged 27 and older are also eligible for a donated burial plot or urn during the project on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be transferred or sold to a third party. There is a $30 shipping cost for the donated urn.
