Every year The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Board (The Conference) Board of Directors appoints members of the National Board Exam (NBE) Arts and Sciences Committees to serve a one-year, voluntary appointment.
Committee members are dually licensed practitioners from across the country who are responsible for maintaining the NBE. It is important that the committee includes a wide range of demographics, including newly licensed professionals; therefore, anyone who meets the requirements is encouraged to apply.
These subject-matter experts provide general oversight of the content of the licensing exam. This includes test question development, with an ongoing mission to maintain and review test questions at various stages of the exam development process.
While this is a voluntary position, travel expenses are paid by The Conference. Previous experience in exam development is not required, as training is provided.
To be considered for the NBE Committee, please visit the following link for instructions on how to apply: https://theconferenceonline.org/exam-committee-interest/. The deadline to apply for the 2020-2021 NBE Committee is March 13, 2020.
