National Family History Month
October is National Family History Month! It is a perfect time to plan an event around Have the Talk of a Lifetime. Use the Family Tree Activity Guide, available on www.famic.org, to help families discover new branches on their family tree.
Make sure to let FAMIC know about your event and get some extra publicity by adding it to the events calendar on www.talkofalifetime.org (click on the "Events" link at the top of the page).

Get Referrals from the Have the Talk Website
Everyday consumers engage with the Have the Talk of a Lifetime website, using all types of the materials. Many search for experts in their community.

Search your zip code to see whether your business is already listed

If your business is not in the search results:

Include the Have the Talk of a Lifetime logo (available at www.famic.org – password: campaign) on the homepage of your website, and familiarize yourself and your staff with the program

Then, simply complete the web form and submit for review

You’ll then receive an email once your business is added to the search tool (within few days)
