NFDA members are invited to join with their colleagues around the world in observing World United for Life Day, a day commemorating the unique lives of those who have died and to celebrate the unique stories of people who are still living.
World United for Life Day was established in 2012 by ALPAR (Asociación Gremial Latinoamericana de Cemeterios y Servicios Funerarios), an association of funeral directors and cemeterians in Latin America.
Over the years, funeral homes around the world have held a wide range of community outreach events to celebrate World United for Life Day:
- Balloon and butterfly releases
- Remembrance walls
- Educational workshops on a variety of topics
- Candle-lighting ceremonies
- Planting trees or flowers
- Art-based activities
- Concerts
- Social media campaigns
- And more!
You might consider hosting an event using NFDA's Have the Talk of a Lifetime Conversation Cards.
