NFDA has been made aware that some members have recently received communications from Global Payments and have had questions about whether those messages are legitimate.
We want to assure you – they are.
Global Payments is the parent company of NFDA Endorsed Provider Heartland/TSYS. While many members are familiar with the Heartland or TSYS names through their current payment processing platforms, future communications will come from Global Payments as part of a broader branding shift.
What You Need to Know
This is a branding update only. There are no required changes to your current Heartland or TSYS services. Your existing services remain the same. There is no disruption to your account or processing.
You have options. NFDA members may choose to explore Global Payments’ newer solutions or continue using their current systems.
Global Payments will first send a letter to members, followed by outreach via phone. Some members have already received this communication, which may reference new offerings such as updated point-of-sale solutions designed to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Why This Matters
Because your statements and systems may still reflect the Heartland or TSYS names, hearing from “Global Payments” can understandably raise questions or concerns.
This proactive communication is simply to ensure you recognize the name and understand that it is part of the same trusted provider relationship through NFDA’s Endorsed Provider program.
Stay Informed
As always, NFDA encourages members to remain cautious with any unsolicited communication. However, in this case, outreach from Global Payments related to your Heartland or TSYS services is expected and legitimate.
