As excitement builds for the 2026 NFDA International Convention & Expo, you should be aware that hotel scammers often begin targeting attendees and suppliers months before registration opens.
NFDA has been alerted in past years to emails and phone calls from companies claiming to offer discounted hotel rooms for the Convention. These solicitations may appear legitimate, but they are not affiliated with NFDA.
For the 2026 NFDA International Convention & Expo in Charlotte, Maritz, NFDA’s official housing provider, will be the only authorized source for booking rooms within the Convention hotel block. Details about Convention registration and hotel reservations will be announced in the coming months.
Be cautious of any company that:
- Claims to have Convention hotel rooms available before the official housing bureau opens
- Requests payment or personal information to secure a reservation
- Pressures you to book immediately
Reservations made through unauthorized companies may result in invalid reservations, non-refundable payments or unexpected fees.
To ensure your reservation is secure and eligible for Convention benefits, always book through NFDA’s official housing provider once reservations open.
NFDA will share official registration and housing information through its website, emails and publications. If you receive a suspicious solicitation, we encourage you to proceed with caution and wait for official NFDA communications.
