On March 22, Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services of the Diocese of Sacramento (CFCS; Citrus Heights) held the dedication and grand opening of Calvary Funeral Center, which provides complete funeral, mortuary, cremation and burial services with features such as a chapel, glass niches illuminated by stained-glass windows, a large reception room, meeting spaces, a memorialization selection room and cutting-edge care center. The Most Rev. Jaime Soto, bishop of Sacramento, dedicated the Resurrection Chapel at the new funeral center, marking its grand opening.

Said Jerry Del Core, CFCS president and CEO: “We started working on this project right after we opened the funeral center at St. Mary Cemetery in 2016. The new Calvary Funeral Center will allow us to serve more families as we share the Catholic rites of Christian funeral and cemetery services. What makes us most unique is that we can help a family without their loved one ever leaving our care. Our goal is to serve families in need of consolation and help them celebrate the life of their loved ones.”
