Order of the Golden Rule (OGR) has appointed Wendy King to serve as its executive director and CEO. She has 21 years of nonprofit experience and most recently served 14 years with the American Heart Association, including eight as executive director for the Indianapolis market. During her tenure, King built a network of external relationships and led a diverse board of directors to establish market strategies and metrics to achieve annual impact and revenue goals.

In other news, OGR formed three more partnerships with suppliers to provide services to members. The first is with ­OpusXenta, a technology company offering cloud-based solutions to help deathcare companies better manage operations, adapt to a changing market environment and build out their digital presence. The second is with Cremation Consulting, a strategic consulting firm that has helped launch and relaunch firms to focus on the emerging cremation market.
