Employees from locally owned and operated Larkin Mortuaries & Cemeteries (Salt Lake City) donated more than 100 volunteer hours to The Salvation Army Angel Tree Warehouse on December 15, 2025. Volunteers sorted items that were then distributed to individuals and families in need throughout the community.

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program provides Christmas assistance to families living below federal poverty guidelines. The program serves children ages 12 and under – known as “Angels.” The goal is for each child to receive a warm coat, clothing, shoes and a toy during the holiday season. This past Christmas, the Angel Tree Program provided assistance to 2,389 children, 1,398 seniors and 14 families through the Adopt-a-Family Program.

In addition, Larkin hosted a food drive for The Salvation Army in partnership with students from Canyons Technical Education Center during its annual Live Nativity Open House on December 11, 2025. Community members donated 4,157 pounds of nutritious nonperishable food items to support those facing hunger in the community.
