Robert R. Haigler

funeral director, Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, Oklahoma, died November 19, 2021, at age 80. Haigler attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University for one year before attending Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in Dallas. He apprenticed at Garrison Funeral Home in Oklahoma City.

Haigler operated Haigler Funeral Home (Canton) for 43 years until his retirement in 2006. They also operated the ambulance for many years and had the tag agency in Canton for more than 30 years. Haigler was very involved in his community, serving as a volunteer fireman for 20 years and on the school board for over 30 years. He was a member of the Lions Club, Eastern Star, the Masonic Lodge and Canton Christian Church.

He is survived by wife Shirley, daughters Dawn and Kim, son Mark, eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
