Packaging and Shipping Cremated Remains

The United States Postal Service offers the only legal method of shipping cremated remains domestically or internationally. Their most recent guidelines were issued September, 2019.

The United States Postal Service® (USPS) is the only shipping company that ships Cremated Remains. To increase the visibility of packages containing cremated remains and to ensure those packages are more secure for processing and a timely delivery, the Postal Service has tools to make shipping Cremated Remains easier.
