NFDA presented ASD – Answering Service for Directors with the 2018 NFDA Members’ Choice Award during the association’s International Convention & Expo, which is being held October 14-17 in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

As funeral professionals from around the world gather in Salt Lake City, Utah, for the 2018 NFDA International Convention & Expo, they will experience a taste of Hollywood as the association announces the winners of the Remembering A Life Film Contest and hosts a viewing of the award-winning film Getting Grace. 

NFDA has expanded its Discount Advantage Program with the addition of 360 Intel, one of the country’s premier secret shopper services. Secret shopper programs are used in many service-based businesses to provide valuable and unbiased feedback on how customers interact with staff.

NFDA members have elected the following individuals to serve on the 2018-19 Board of Directors: President-elect R. Bryant Hightower, Treasurer Randall “Randy" P. Anderson and Secretary John "Jack" O. Mitchell. Along with electing officers, members also voted to adopt proposed changes to the NFDA Bylaws.

NFDA, in partnership with the Funeral Service Association of Canada, will host a second Professional Women’s Conference in 2018. Known as the profession’s leading gathering for women in funeral service, the event in Canada will take place November 16-18 in Toronto, Ontario.
