Brookfield, Wis. – The National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) invites funeral service professionals to submit proposals for education sessions at its 2025 International Convention & Expo, to be held October 26-29 in Chicago, Illinois. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. CT on December 31, 2024.
“NFDA’s convention is renowned for providing top-tier education that helps funeral professionals thrive in an ever-evolving industry,” said Patty Neuswanger, NFDA vice president education and meetings. “While topics like embalming remain a cornerstone, we’re eager to receive proposals that introduce fresh perspectives and forward-thinking ideas to prepare our convention participants for the future of funeral service. We particularly welcome new voices who have yet to share their expertise on the NFDA stage.”
Proposals can be for one- or two-hour sessions and should address one or more of the following areas: business operations, compliance and legal, consumer care, disposition, embalming and restorative art, innovation and technology, or marketing and professional development. NFDA is seeking dynamic and thought-provoking presentations that offer practical strategies and actionable takeaways for convention participants.
Previous speakers have praised the ease of presenting at NFDA’s convention, highlighting the professionalism of the team and the seamless logistics. As one speaker shared, “The NFDA staff made the experience exceptional, from check-in to set-up, allowing me to focus entirely on delivering my presentation.” Another commented, “The entire process was flawless, and I felt fully supported.”
