Grenada - Shipping Requirements

Requirements:

Transport of Human Remains

  1. Certified copies of Death certificate (2)
  2. Burial/Transit Permit
  3. Passport of decedent
  4. Embalmer's affidavit      
  5. All documents should be copied and also faxed to the receiving funeral home in Grenada
  6. Letter of non-contagious disease
  7. Funeral home letter stating: 1) only remains are inside the casket; 2) flight itinerary; 3) consignee's name, address, and telephone number;
  8. No restrictions on type of Casket
  9. The outside of the casket shall bear an immovable plaque or other appropriate marking, in a conspicuous place, indicating the name, age and place of the final destination of the body
  10. Where an inquiry is pending and the death certificate cannot be obtained, a copy of the coroner’s report which must clearly state the cause of death is acceptable
