Cuba - Shipping Requirements

Requirements:

Transport of Human Remains

  1. Certified copy of Death certificate
  2. Burial/Transit Permit
  3. Passport of decedent
  4. Embalmer's affidavit
  5. Letter of non-contagious disease
  6. Funeral home letter stating:          
    • Only the remains are inside the casket;
    • Flight itinerary;
    • Consignee's name, address, and telephone number;
    • Name, address, and telephone number of a funeral home in Cuba;
    • Cemetery name and location
  1. All documents must be translated into Spanish
  2. Casket - no restrictions
  3. Air Tray
  4. Consulate fees: $342.00 (Est.)

Transport of Cremated Remains

  1. Urn Hermetically Sealed in Wood Box
  2. Certified copy of Death Certificate which has been legalized by the Cuban Interest Section
