Dale Marvin Stevenson

Owner and funeral director, Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home, Miles City, Montana, died December 9, 2013, at age 82. In January 1952, Stevenson enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the family farm and cattle business in partnership with his father. After his marriage in 1957, he attended the School of Mortuary Science in Cincinnati. After graduating, he moved to Miles City and worked for J.E. Graves Funeral Homes until 1962, when he purchased Hinther-Jensen Funeral home and later changed the name to Stevenson Funeral Home (now Stevenson & Sons). Throughout the years, he expanded the business to serve throughout Montana and North Dakota. Stevenson was a member and commander of the American Legion, Montana State Board of Morticians and many community organizations. He is survived by wife Marlene; son Joseph, Jonathan and Todd; daughters Mary and Cathy; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
