Frank L. Ermenc


retired Wisconsin funeral director, died March 5, 2012, at age 93. Ermenc emigrated from Slovenia in 1924, and his name is inscribed on the Ellis Island Wall of Honor. He served as a medic in the European Theater of World War II and was a lifetime member of Crivitz American Legion Post 413. Ermenc initiated the Volunteer Rescue Squad and Sanitation District in Wabeno, sang in the Baylander Chorus of Green Bay, was a member of Wauwatosa Crime Stoppers, a private pilot and a school crossing guard. He is survived by wife Marion, son Gerry and daughters Kate and BJ.
