      Travel Information

Ferry: Flights arrive and depart from Hong King. A ferry between Hong Kong and Macau is available. Download the ferry rate list and schedule.

Weather: Spring in Macau is one of the nicest times to visit. Expect temperatures to be in the 60's and 70's for the most part with some chance of rain.

Shopping: Macau is home to one of the glitziest Louis Vuitton stores in the world. However, it’s not all about glamour and dazzle - Macau's free port status allows for the purchase of brand label clothes, antiques and home furnishings at significantly lower prices.

Health: No vaccinations are required for Macau. Always consult your own physician for recommendations for your personal health needs. In the areas we are visiting, there are no health concerns.

Money: You will bring U.S. cash in small denominations. The Macau Pataca (MOP) is the official currency. The current exchange rate is equivalent to approximately 8 MOPs to one US dollar. Major credit cards are accepted in most hotels and large stores (not Discover Card).

Time Difference: The time in Macau is 15 hours later than Pacific Time, 14 hours from Mountain Time, 13 hours from Central Time and 12 hours from Eastern Standard Time.
