The CCO course is based on the NFDA Certified Crematory Operator Standards Manual, which attendees will receive at the seminar. The August 13 seminar will include a state-specific review of Maryland rules and regulations. CCO certification requires passing a take-home test to be distributed at the seminar.
NFDA CCO certification is recognized by the Maryland Board of Morticians and Funeral Directors and the Maryland Office of Cemetery Oversight to meet Title 10 Department of Health and Mental Hygiene 10.29.17(.04)(B)(5) requirement to achieve Maryland certification as a Registered Crematory Operator.
