2010 Video: Service of Remembrance

The annual Service of Remembrance held during Convention was, for many, unlike anything they've ever experienced. The service embraced the unique funeral traditions of New Orleans and included a horse-drawn hearse, a horse-drawn carriage and a jazz band. In keeping with tradition, at the end of the service, all in attendance formed a "second line" and paraded down Convention Center Boulevard. NFDA thanks Doug Gober of Matthews International and NFDA member Louis Charbonnet of the Charbonnet Labat Funeral Home in New Orleans for helping bring the rich funeral traditions of our Convention host city to the Service of Remembrance.
