Frank Eugene Teague

retired funeral director and former owner of The Kennedy Mortuary, Laurens, South Carolina, died January 18, 2013, at age 79. Teague attended Robinson Business College and served two years in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Kentucky School of Mortuary Science and worked for The Kennedy Mortuary for 30 years. Teague was named manager in 1975 and later purchased the business. He served as president of the South Carolina State Board of Funeral Service and as secretary/treasurer of the Piedmont Group of the South Carolina Funeral Directors Association. Teague was a member of First Baptist Church, serving several terms on the board of deacons and as a trustee. He is survived by wife Betty and his “adopted” family: Jeff, Kim, Julie, Anna and Addison Mitchum.
