Isabelle Sesler Tyree

vice president of Tyree Funeral Home Inc., Oak Hill and Mount Hope, West Virginia, died December 31, 2012, at age 92. Tyree graduated from Marshall College in 1943 and was selected to represent Marshall in Who’s Who of American Colleges and Universities. She served the Fayette County Board of Education for 321/2 years and was a much beloved home economics teacher, with 30 years of teaching at Oak Hill and Collins high schools. She retired in 1975. She was a member of the Marshall Alumni Association, University of Virginia Alumni Association, OHHS/CHS Alumni Association, Association of Retired School Employees, AARP and the Metropolitan Opera Guild. She was a former member of the Spade and Trowel Garden Club, served as an instructor for the National Garden Club Flower Show Schools and was a National Flower Show Judge. She is survived by husband Joseph.
