Kiser worked in a sewing factory in Bristol and moved to Roanoke in 1979 to be closer to her daughter and help raise her grandsons. In 2004, she moved to Bassett to be closer to her grandson, funeral director Paul “Punkie” T. Kennedy Jr., helping him at Bassett Funeral Home by working visitations, funerals, answering phones and anything else he needed. She is survived by daughter Brenda, two grandsons, one great-grandson, special friend Daryl, one step-grandchild and two step-great-grandchildren.
