Francis Boucher Delhomme

funeral director, Delhomme Funeral Homes, Lafayette, Louisiana, died April 8, 2012, at age 78. Delhomme graduated from Southwestern Louisiana Institute (now the University of Louisiana) with a degree in business administration and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of captain. He was honorably discharged after five years of service and returned to Lafayette to work in the family business. He is a past member of the Flying Funeral Directors, past Kiwanian of the Year, commissioner on the Lafayette Bayou Vermilion District, past commissioner/secretary-treasurer of the Lafayette Municipal Airport Commission and a member of the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association and NFDA. He was also proud to be a notary public. He is survived by wife Billie; daughters Desiree, Daphne and Deidre; son Duane; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
