funeral director in the Valley City and Barnes County area of North Dakota, died December 9, 2011, at age 84. Peterson graduated from Valley City State University, Indiana College of Mortuary Science and the Army Command and General Staff College. He retired in 1989 after 35 years in funeral service. Peterson served in the military for 20 years in both World War II and the Korean War. He is survived by wife Dolly and son Lee.
