retired owner of several funeral homes in Oklahoma and Texas, died September 18, 2011, at age 66. Johnson attended Oklahoma State University for two years and was a member of the first class in the degree program for funeral service education at Central State University, graduating with honors in 1966. He started his career in 1967, opening a funeral home in Gage, Oklahoma. In 1970, he and his father began Good Samaritan Funeral Service in Woodward, and Johnson later opened funeral homes in Shattuck, Oklahoma, and Booker, Texas. His funeral home earned the NFDA Pursuit of Excellence award. Johnson retired in June 2008. He is survived by wife Kathy and daughters Clarissa and Katrina.
