former owner and operator of Barnes Funeral Home, died September 23, 2011, at age 92. Barnes served in the U.S. Army during World War II and immediately afterward organized a dance band called Bob Barnes & His Orchestra. He graduated from Worsham College with a degree in mortuary science and held licenses in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Florida. He was an active member of the Central Florida Funeral Directors Association. He is survived by daughter Nancy, son Tim, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
