president of Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford, Virginia, died May 24, 2011, at age 77. Overstreet, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, was a licensed funeral director for 48 years. He also operated Updike Memorials Inc. for 37 years with partners Wayne and Tim Murphy. He is survived by wife Janet, daughter Katrina, step-son Shawn, one grandchild, two step-grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a sister.
