July 6, 2005 - USA Today - "Planners: Hey, it's your funeral!"
Bob Biggins, for 26 years a funeral director in Rockland, Mass., and president-elect of the National Funeral Directors Associaiton, has been personalizing funerals for as long as he can remember....The funeral for Sonny Ewell in spring 2004 is the one he remembers best. Ewell was the ice cream man in Rockland for decades. "The truck was parked in front of the funeral home during calling hours, led the procession to the church - bells clanging, lights flashing - and then led the way on to the cemetery. Every person we passed stopped and paused and reflected on his life," Biggins says.

July, 2005 - New York Daily News - "Planning for your Funeral"
Nationwide, some 40% to 60% of funerals are pre-arranged, according to industry experts, and the percentage is growing. Last year, some 57% of adults said they intended to or had already pre-planned a funeral, according to a Harris Interactive poll and cited by the National Funeral Directors Association, a trade group.
