Habitat for Humanity Build – Saturday, October 11, 6:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Hurry ... fewer than 10 volunteer spots remain!
Since 2008, NFDA Convention attendees have given back to their host city by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. Join your fellow funeral service professionals as we help Habitat for Humanity rebuild a neighboring Nashville community and make home ownership a reality for a local veteran.
We are pleased to be able to help Harold Allen, who served in active combat during two tours of duty in Vietnam, become a homeowner for the first time. This build also holds the high distinction of being the 4,000th Habitat build in the state of Tennessee and will be celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony and dedication, which is projected for Veterans Day, November 11, 2014.
Tentatively, volunteers will help paint interior walls, install siding and fascia, caulk siding, prep for painting and finish building a storage shed.
