On March 31, 2014, NFDA announced the termination of its member benefit merchant processing relationship with Bank of America. Effective March 31, we have entered into a new endorsed provider relationship for credit card processing with TransFirst, Inc.
There has been some confusion about the deadline provided surrounding fee increases you may incur from Bank of America, effective April 1. To clarify, you can make the switch from Bank of America to TransFirst at any time, but we recommend doing it as quickly as possible to avoid any possible fee increases.
Please know that:
Expect a call from a TransFirst account executive to discuss your payment processing options. Or, if you would like to get started sooner, simply call TransFirst at 800-613-0148 or fax your most recent statement along with this letter to 800-297-3405.

Please note: NFDA has been made aware that some members have been contacting by National Funeral Director Merchant Association, a division of BankCard USA. Among other claims, representatives state that their company was NFDA's second for credit card processing.
NFDA conducted an extensive search before selecting TransFirst. Neither National Funeral Director Merchant Association, nor BankCard USA, were among the companies NFDA considered. TransFirst went through an extensive vetting process and has agreed to provide exclusive pricing and rates to NFDA members that are not available elsewhere.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call NFDA Member Services at 800-228-6332.
