Everyone who registered for the 2013 NFDA International Convention & Expo, October 20-23 in Austin, and purchased a ticket for the Wednesday evening Boot Scootin' Bash, was entered into a drawing to win one of six $50 Country Outfitters gift cards. The final winner was Megan Broekemeier, Garden City Funeral Home, Missoula, Mont. Winners were drawn the first Friday of every month from among all Boot Scootin' Bash registrants.
The Boot Scootin' Bash is a new event on Wednesday during which attendees will celebrate the culmination of a great NFDA Convention & Expo and support Comfort Zone Camp, a camp to help children as they start their grief journey following the death of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver. The Funeral Service Foundation will match all Comfort Zone Camp donations, up to a total of $10,000.
If you are attending the NFDA Convention and have not yet purchased a ticket to the Boot Scootin' Bash, you can do so on site; visit the registration desk in the Austin Convention Center and a member of the NFDA staff will be happy to assist you.
