While the weather may be warming up, flu season in the U.S. typically lasts until May. The OSHA website has published an update on workplace flu exposure and urges employers to have a plan in place should a flu pandemic occur.
The page provides information for employers and workers in healthcare and other work places. It also provides access guidance from the Department of Health and Human Services/Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on protecting healthcare workers from seasonal flu, a discussion of the 2012/2013 seasonal flu vaccine and an update on the latest news on the Influenza A variant. There is also access to the OSHA web page on pandemic flu planning.
