Vote Now! Help Choose the 2011 NFDA Innovation Award Winner
NFDA wants your help in selecting the 2011 Innovation Award Winner. Established in 2009, the NFDA Innovation Award promotes and recognizes creativity, innovation and excellence among funeral service suppliers and vendors. You have until September 16 to visit http://www.nfdabizexchange.org/innovationaward and cast your vote for the product or service you believe is the most innovative of the year. Votes will be combined with the judges' scores to determine the winner of the 2011 NFDA Innovation Award. The winner will be announced on Monday, October 24, during the Opening General Session of the NFDA Convention.
"Sorry For Your Troubles"
From the moving soloist to the mournful bagpipes, the 2011 Service of Remembrance will touch your heart like no other. Join NFDA and CANA on Tuesday, October 25, at 9:45 a.m. for a traditional Irish wake and funeral to celebrate the lives of our loved ones, friends and colleagues who have died in the last year.
"Sorry for your troubles," are traditional Irish words of condolence that let those who have lost someone know you understand their pain and are thinking of them during their time of grief.
Chicago, NFDA's Convention host city, has unparalleled sophistication, class and style. There is something for everyone: fine dining, world-famous museums, legendary entertainment, shopping and much more. NFDA has coordinated several city tours to help you understand why so many visitors fall in love with the city every year.
Tour reservations must be made by September 30. Visit the convention website for more information about the tours and to make your reservation.
Are You Connected With Your Colleagues on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn?
If you use "friend" as a verb, track tweets or know what it means to link-up on LinkedIn, you will want to attend the Friends of Facebook (and Twitter and LinkedIn) Party on Tuesday, October 25, from 5-6 p.m. in the Big Bar at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Many funeral service professionals are connected with NFDA and each other on social media sites, like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. This is your chance to grab a cocktail, meet in-person and enjoy offline conversations.
