NFDA was one of 116 signatories on a letter sent to members of the House of Representatives last week encouraging passage of the Achieving Less Excess in Regulation and Requiring Transparency (ALERRT) Act of 2014 (H.R. 2804). This bill would make federal agencies more accountable and improve the transparency of actions by regulatory agencies.
The ALERRT Act embodies several major principles of accountability, transparency, and fairness, drawn directly from several bills that previously came before the House.
