Applicant must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours in a mortuary science education program at an accredited mortuary science school for the semester which the scholarship will be applied. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement, leadership qualities, financial need and special abilities. The Scholarship foundation trust awards two (2) $3,000 scholarships per year to qualifying applicants. The student must be a resident of the State of Kentucky for at least the last two (2) immediately proceeding years. Must agree to work in the state for at least two years following issuance of license, must agree to repay the award if fail to meet requirements or are no longer enrolled in school.

Scholarships ($ amount to be determined) will be awarded to the persons who attend an accredited college offering instruction in Mortuary Science. The recipient must meet requirements of the Louisiana State Board of Embalmer and Funeral Directors. If requested, the applicant will make a personal appearance before the scholarship committee. Applicants must be legal resident of State of Louisiana for the past two years, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher during each semester or quarter to continue receiving scholarship payments.

One $1,000 scholarship, the Daniel T. Mulheran Memorial Scholarship. Applicants must have completed 15 hours in an accredited mortuary science program with no "D" grade and a GPA of 2.5. Taken into consideration will be financial need, academic performance, extracurricular and community activities, recommendations submitted, and articulateness of the application itself. Applications must be received by October 1st.
